Auditions. Picking auditions is important. When you first pick an audition, you must consider these few things:

            - LOCATION: Where is your audition located? Choose something that could be easy for you to get to. (It really depends, if it is a really important audition, hey, why not travel?) Though try to stay local. There are plenty of auditions where ever you go, you just have to know where to look. Scroll all the way down to see a recommended website.

             - CHARACTERS: When you audition for something, you want a part you know that you can play well. Maybe that characters personality has something to do with yours, or you can really BE the character. You must be comfortable in the role that you have. Also, you must consider age. Pick a character that has a similar age group. This part that you must consider all goes along with knowing your part.

             - KNOWING THE PLOT OF YOUR PLAY: Whenever you want to audition for a play, movie, whatever it may be, you should know what it is about. If it is a known play/movie, research it. Watch the movie on it, read the book, ask around! It always gives you that extra advantage for any audition.

             - REHEARSALS: Make sure you ask for any important dates. When is the production date? Approximately what are the days and the times are the rehearsals? Keep this in mind. You need to fit any rehearsals or practices into your schedule. Directors won't consider you for a part if you really can't fit it in your schedule.

These are the main things you need to keep in mind when choosing auditions. There are many ways you can look for auditions, but, there is one website that is highly recommended. Visit the site below. I, myself am a member, and I highly recommend it.
